At TSA Wealth Management We Don’t Charge Commissions
There are no retainers, and we do not charge additional planning fees. All our services are provided as part of the asset management fee which is laid out here.
While we include outside assets such as bank accounts, insurance policies, business interests and real estate in the financial plan, we never charge a fee based on the value of those assets.
How We Work
Our Onboarding Process
We want you to have 100% confidence in the quality of our advice and service. That’s why we don’t ask you to hire us until after we’ve made our initial presentation and laid out the remaining action items.
Want to see if we are the right fit?
Here are the 6-steps to our onboarding process.
1
Discovery Meeting
This is where we learn about you and you to learn about us. The overall goal is simply to see if we are potentially a fit for one another.
2
Data Gathering
Our team members will help you get your financial life organized and consolidated so you know what you have and where it is.
3
Present Recommendations
Once the data has been gathered and our team has run the analysis, we’ll layout our recommendations, review different scenarios, and explain the necessary action items.
4
Formalize Engagement
We want you to have 100% confidence in the quality of our advice and service. That’s why we don’t ask you to hire us until after we’ve made our initial presentation and laid out the remaining action items.
5
Implementation
This is the step where we make sure everything we promised to get done, gets done.
6
Ongoing Review
Retirement planning isn’t a one-time engagement. We’ll be with you every step of the way to answer questions, make adjustments, and address changes as they happen.

We bill quarterly (in January, April, July, and October) based on the average daily balance of the accounts under our management at Schwab over the previous three months. The annual billing rate represents the annualized fee over four quarterly billing cycles. The billing tiers are marginal meaning the first $2 million of account value is billed at an annual rate of 1% per year. The next million is billed at an annual rate of .8% and the million after that is billed at an annual rate of .6%.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Fees
Below are some of the more common questions we get about fees.
-
Most clients have us deduct the management fees directly from the investment accounts held at Schwab. Others prefer to receive a quarterly invoice and pay by check. We’re happy to accommodate your preferences.
-
Our portfolios are built using low-cost exchange traded index funds, as well as individual positions in stocks and bonds.
-
No. We are confident the value we provide our clients far exceeds the fees we charge. And while we can’t guarantee specific returns, we can guarantee that we will act as fiduciaries and provide exceptional service and guidance throughout the course of your retirement. If at any point you decide the value provided does not exceed the expense, we will part ways as friends and waive our fee for the final quarter of billing.
